Pia: OpenVPN Setup/ReInstall

Overview

The package allows the Chat User to manage the installation of the OpenVPN client & VPN access security group.

  • Primary Domain Controller
  • Target Workstation
• OpenVPN Configuration

Setup & Configuration

Opt-In

• Package must be manually opted into

Client Tag

• VPN: Generic SSL (OpenVPN)

Global Config

• Primary Domain Controller
• All Staff Group

Package Config

• VPN Access Group
• OpenVPN Config

Process

The steps that the package takes during process execution are:

1. Present a form of a user & computer for the Chat User to select to perform the task against
2. Check if the OpenVPN application is already installed on the client workstation
3. Prompt Chat User action to perform install/reinstall/uninstall
4. Perform (re/un)install action
5. Check if the user is a member of the VPN access security group
6. Prompt Chat User to add user if they are not a member
7. Apply OpenVPN configuration
