Pia: Network Drive Troubleshooting

Overview​

The package will allow the Chat User to troubleshoot network drive connections on the end user's computer, attempting to detect and auto-resolve connection issues.

Platforms​

The package supports the following platforms

  • Cloud Hybrid
  • On Prem

Requirements​

  • Orchestrator agents in a valid state on
    • Primary Domain Controller
    • Target Workstation

Setup & Configuration​

Global Config

  • Primary Domain Controller
  • All Staff Group

Microsoft Graph API

  • Authorization and Delegation configured

Process​

The steps that the package takes during process execution are:

  1. Pia connects to the directory and obtains a list of group members
  2. Pia prompts the engineer to select a user
  3. A form for selecting the target user is presented.
  4. Pia obtains a list of computers actively used by the previously selected user
  5. Pia will obtain a list of all machines
  6. Pia attempts to locate a computer that has recently been used by the user. Failing that, a list of all available computers is presented.
  7. A form for selecting the target computer is presented.
  8. Obtain a list of network drives from GPO & Logon scripts
  9. Ask Chat User which drives are experiencing issues
  10. Attempts troubleshooting against selected drives
