Supporting Clients with Multiple Environments

As an MSP, you may encounter clients with varying needs. Some may have simple setups, such as clients with no sub-branches who only interact with a single domain controller. Others may have more complex environments, like clients with sub-branches that require configuration as separate entities within your PSA system. For these unique scenarios, to support these clients, Pia offers three specialized feature sets within the Partner Portal.

Pia supports the four environments - Cloud Only, Cloud Hybrid, On Prem and Semi Hybrid. Pia has built features that enable MSPs to support unique scenarios through the three different features that it offers.

Type	Description
Parent/Child Relationship	This feature support Client Hierarchy in your ticketing system. A Parent/Child relationship allows 2 Clients in Pia to share the resources(servers) when one of the two Clients has the Pia Agent for the devices installed against them. By default, Pia has a 1:1 relationship between an agent(endpoint) and the associated client.
Client Profiles	You can create configuration profiles for clients that support multiple environment types. Each configuration profile can be pointed towards an environment that Pia supports and can be made changes to.
Multi-Client Agent Support	With multi-client agent support, you can associate a single agent to multiple clients or clients profiles allowing you to manage each of them using the same agent.
